June is my birthday month! I can’t believe I will be 29 this year! And as I write that, I realize it’s my golden birthday; 29 on the 29th! I fervently decided to do a no-spend month in June and then I realized that I actually really want a new dress to wear on my birthday. So I am giving myself one exception; a dress to wear to my birthday dinner with Cam in the city.
Cam asked me a few weeks ago where I might want to go for dinner. My birthday is on a Tuesday and he thought I may want to celebrate on the weekend instead. But who wants to sit around on their birthday night at home? Even if it is a week day! I requested Suraya; a stunning Lebanese restaurant that has been on ‘my list’ for a long time… and every other Philly resident’s list as well. We had to scramble to get a reservation 30 days in advance, even for a Tuesday. I sweetly suggested we book a table in the outdoor garden terrace around twilight so we can be there during sunset to see all the twinkly lights. And we scored it!
As I am not one to pass up on an even subtly suggested theme, I am on the hunt for a breezy, chic, Mediterranean inspired dress for a romantic dinner in the garden. This is very extra of me, but it’s more fun to live life like this sometimes!
