As the weather finally gets warmer, I am reinvigorated with energy and creativity and happiness. I am such a summer and sunshine person. What a relief to walk outside at lunch or go for a long run after work in the warm air and before the sun sets! I can’t believe that the sun is still shining almost until 8 pm. It’s just so refreshing.

Once again, major credit goes to my mom for always scoping out the greatest photo locations for me! I arrived home from Boston on Memorial Day and she just couldn’t resist bringing me straight to this magical spot about 15 minutes from my house. Let’s take a look!

Eleanor’s Peony Farm

How beautiful is this place? Eleanor’s peony farm is a family owned garden in Glen Mills, PA that has been operating for over 15 years. There are over 200 varieties of peonies, each one more beautiful than the last. You can leave with your very own peony plant, but the main attraction is picking your own bouquet of cut stems. Each stem is about $2 and sometimes you get some freebies thrown in if the peony type is past its prime.

We were able to walk the entire garden, gawking at each beauty, smelling the magnificent scents, and selecting which types we would like to bring home. When we were ready, one of Eleanor’s daughters cut the stems for us. Each time a stem is cut, the scissors are sprayed with alcohol so that no diseases can be spread from one plant to the next. If you are looking to visit, May is peony prime time if you want the greatest bouquet or an optimal photography opportunity. Their season is short and they don’t last very long inside your home, so keep the water very cold with ice cubes to extend their life.

Mad Hippie Skincare Products

Keeping with the theme of natural beauty, I want to talk about my newest obsession with the natural skincare products by Mad Hippie. I am so thankful to Mad Hippie for sending me a few products to try for the last few weeks, catered to my own personal skincare needs. Needless to say, I have absolutely fallen in love! I have been using the Cream Cleanser, Hydrating Nutrient Mist, and Vitamin C Serum each day for nearly 4 weeks. At first glance (or sniff), I have found that all of their products smell so good and they are such a pleasure to apply each day. I really look forward to it!

I first started using the Vitamin C Serum and my skin feels so soft and smooth. The serum is really clearing my skin of the occasional acne bursts that I get and helping to fade any scarring that I have from previous breakouts. The Cream Cleanser is so silky and calming on my face, I have had no issues substituting it into my regular routine, even with my very sensitive skin. At first I didn’t understand what the Hydrating Nutrient Mist could do for me, but I was excited to find out that it helps to hydrate your skin, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, plump up your face with collagen, and fight against skin discoloration from sun damage or acne.

Results will really come to life after about 30 days, but I can tell already that this was really worth it. In fact, today is the first day (in a very long time) that I could cover just a few spots on my face with cover up instead of blanket covering the entire thing. My skincare routine order goes like this: micellar water, toner or salicylic acid wipes, cleanser, hydrating mist, vitamin c serum, and finally, moisturizer which contains my spf.

The best part about Mad Hippie is that they are completely transparent with all of the ingredients in their products and they give $1 to environmental conservation for each sale they make. You can read about the benefits of every ingredients in each of the products before purchasing. Be informed about what you are putting on your skin! You only get one face (I’m pretty sure). Hippie Dippie Summer Style

I couldn’t help but be inspired by all the bloggers I follow that attended Coachella few months back. When I started doing a little blogging and Instagram-ing back in August of 2017, I really had a hard time defining what my style was. I have always loved styling clothing and seeing all these bloggers with pretty feeds and really defined styles got me confused. The girls at the festival reminded me of how much I love a hippie, laid back, carefree style. I am not preppy or classic or chicky or sporty. I love flowy dresses, statement pieces, layered bracelets, moccasins, fringe, tassels, etc. That’s so me.

The dress in these photos is an old Free People tunic that is unfortunately not available now, but I will link a few similar styles below. Can you believe those sleeves? My boots are el classico/ole trusties.. aka my Minnetonka beauties. I have really been loving simple gold hoop earrings recently, so I bought a variety pack of different size gold hoops from Amazon. They are my absolute favorite right now. I can’t wait to wear them with a simple black one piece on the beach.

Thanks so much for stopping by and don’t forget to stock up on all your favorite Mad Hippie products this week only with my code: madhippiejojo!
