My sister and I often have the same conversation about how we would love to have 5 different houses, so that we could decorate them all in totally different styles, all equally loved. I feel the same way about my fashion choices. One day I could be decked out in grunge, holey jeans, and band tees; the next day I could be dressed to the preppy 9s, just like Princess Kate. This particular outfit is of the latter style.

I was very pleasantly surprised to receive an Instagram message from Boden, requesting my presence among their brand ambassadors. I was, of course, floored by the offer and so for the next few months I will be selecting pieces from their new collections to showcase to you all. These will definitely fall into the category of my typical workwear style and I have already taken this floral frock out for a few spins at the office.

More About Boden

Let’s start with a little debrief on the brand. Boden was founded in West London in 1991 by Johnnie Boden with the goal of adding color and fun to the world and bringing smiles to his customers’ faces. It started out with a hand full of menswear pieces designed at his kitchen table, and has since grown to women and children lines as well. Their pieces are designed in-house in their London offices with the highest quality fabrics and finishes.

If their beautiful designs weren’t enough, Boden is committed to the ethical and sustainable production of garments. They are transparent about their supply chain, and they are actively fighting modern day slavery through the eradication of human trafficking, forced and bonded labour, and outright slavery in their factories and all other operations. I am proud to be an ambassador for Boden.

My Boden Selections for April

There were so many pieces that caught my eye for spring at Boden. The swimwear is something else and the event dresses and jumpsuits are so exquisite. But I finally settled on creating a fun look for the office to spring myself out of the winter wardrobe slump. My selections are beautiful on their own, and instantly elevate the look when paired together. Let’s take a peak at what I selected for April:

Ada Midi Dress in Navy Posy Bloom

The Ada Midi Dress immediately caught my eye as it steals from a more casual mini floral print dress style and fancies it up for the office or a family event. The tailoring of the cut is perfection and it feels like it was made for me. I ordered a size 4R and it fits true to size, as I would typically wear a 4 in a dress. The material is silky and swishes when I walk and I specifically love the opaque quality of the sleeves as the billow out and back to the wrist. The neckline can be worn buttoned up tight or open, as there is a hook & eye clasp for you to decide. I can imagine styling this with classy booties for the fall, tights and ankle strap heels for the winter, and flat sandals for the spring and summer. The Ada Midi Dress comes in three colorways including a green and white and a blue and pink pattern.

Flora Mid Heels in Navy

The Flora Mid Heels are truly the showcase piece of the outfit. I absolutely love these heels. I ordered a size 39, which fit perfectly, and I typically wear a size 8.5. These mid heels are so comfortable and the laces are soft and velvety around your ankles. The flower appliques just totally pop and are so sweet strung across the toes. I cannot wait to style them with raggy edged jeans and a white linen button down for date night at a little wine bar in the city. How effortlessly stylish!

Resin Hoop Earrings in Brown Tortoise Shell

I confess. I am addicted to tortoise shell accessories. Shoes, purses, eye glasses, bangles, and, of course, earrings; this is the pattern of the season. These Resin Hoops have a slight hint of blue in them and are so dainty and delicate hanging off the ear. These are so well made and sturdy, unlike so many lackluster accessories these days. It is clear that Boden is detail-oriented… from their gorgeous occasion gowns, right down to their tiny earrings.

I am sure you will be just as impressed should you select any of these pieces for your own closet. Beautiful designs for beautiful women, inside and out. Enjoy! You can shop all of these Boden selections below.

xoxo,

jojo
